Remember when I said “this was the worst Stephen King movie I have ever seen“? Well, 1922 takes the cake.
Adapted from King’s short story, 1922 gets everything that made the source material merely OK wrong. The two main things butchered by this movie were the utterly depressing tone and the horrific visuals the main character experiences. I’m sure the latter could be because (as avid readers always say) my imagination is the best medium ever, but the movie still needed a drastic increase in scares. I usually like Thomas Jane (The Mist, Deep Blue Sea) but he gives a lackluster performance in this dull and unnecessary film. Don’t waste your hour and 42 minutes.
