If by “Freddy delivers” they mean extra cheese then what an apt tagline. A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child is not the new Coheed & Cambria album title, but the fifth installment in the popular Freddy Krueger franchise. Although he is the one slinging trashy insults left and right, at this point in his career Freddy has been solidified as the brunt of the jokes.
Another year, another MASSACRE MARATHON, another sequel in a classic franchise. A Nightmare On Elm Street 4: The Dream Master takes the series further into bizarre territory. Freddy is back and he is (you guessed it!) killing high-schoolers again. He is targeting the remaining teens who shut his shit down in the previous film and won’t stop until they are all dead.

Shocker is a forgotten movie Wes Craven (Scream, A Nightmare on Elm Street, other awesome stuff) made mid way through his career, bless his soul. I’ve never heard anyone else talk about this film so I hope this review will convince you to give it a watch. It’s bloody, has a sense of humor, and has a great villain. It’s all around electrifying fun!
A Nightmare On Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors is about the return of a familiar villain with a routine grudge. Six years after the events of the first Nightmare dream-dwelling demon Freddy Krueger targets a group of kids in a mental health institute. They figure out that they are all being haunted by the same monster and band together to exterminate the evil. Oh, and before I forget, introducing Patricia Arquette and featuring “Larry” Fishburne. Yes, that Larry Fishburne.
