DIGGING UP THE MARROW ft. Prom Night + Grabbers

Digging Up the Marrow is a passion piece created by indie horror director Adam Green (Hatchet, Holliston) and Alex Pardee, an artist known mostly for designing album covers for bands such as The Used and In Flames. The story centers around Adam Green (playing a version of himself) preparing a documentary on a collection of artwork featuring colorful yet grotesque creatures. When he is contacted by a mysterious man played by Ray Wise (Twin Peaks, Dead End) who claims he can prove the monsters are real, Adam sets out to ascertain if the man is legit or fibbin’.

THE OMEN ft. Halloween + The House That Jack Built

We are almost at the halfway point of the MASSACRE MARATHON, so I figured it’s about time I revel in a classic. When I think of the top 10 horror movies of all time that shaped what the genre has become today, I would probably be obligated to include The Omen. Not only did it help set the world up for countless evil kid films along with The Exorcist, it showed how little the real antagonist has to do on screen to make you fear them.

HALLOWEEN H20: 20 YEARS LATER

Halloween H20: 20 Years Later isn’t only a redundant title, it’s a notch in the timeline of a another slasher series taken way too far. What is it that has propelled the sequels for Freddy, Jason, Michael, and friends for so long? Mainly the low budget needed to make these types of films as well as the blind support ladled out by die-hard fans and people in search of a cheap scare alike. I for one am sick of the Halloween series up to this point. The previous three installments left me bitter at the ones responsible for pumping out those idiotic cash-ins.

HALLOWEEN: THE CURSE OF MICHAEL MYERS

One might think I of all people would be thrilled to watch a movie with Halloween in the title, but I certainly was apprehensive of Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers. If you have experienced the hogwash on display in 4 and 5 you understand why I was concerned. Halloween: TCoMM, or more simply Halloween 6, takes place yet again in the town of Haddonfield where, yet again, Michael Myers returns to cause a ruckus during his favorite holiday.
